Decor Trim - Instrument Panel - Main (Rework)

Rework

  1. Remove the main instrument panel decor trim. See Decor Trim - Instrument Panel - Main (Remove and Replace).
  2. Place the main instrument panel decor trim upside down on a portable bench or support stand.
  3. Check for movement between the aluminum frame and the wooden or plastic part of the main instrument panel decor trim.
  4. Apply hot glue adhesive between the aluminum frame and the wooden or plastic part of the main instrument panel decor trim.

    Note
    Make sure the adhesion is firm and distributed evenly.

Install

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  • Check for any damaged clips and replace them as necessary.
  • Make sure that the instrument panel decor trim clips are fully seated to the instrument panel.
  • Use Toolbox to perform an air wave functionality check to make sure the instrument panel decor trim clips are fully seated.
