Remove
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
- Perform the A/C refrigerant recovery. See A/C Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge).
- Remove the outer HVAC plenum duct. See Duct - HVAC Plenum - Outer (Remove and Replace).

Disconnect the electrical harness from the high pressure pressure and temperature sensor.

Remove the high pressure pressure and temperature sensor from the discharge pipe.
7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)
Install
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
- Perform an A/C refrigerant recharge. See A/C Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge).

Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle, and then:
- Search for "reset vcfront" in the Actions/Autodiag tab, select TEST-RESET_VCFRONTSearch for routine in ToolboxVCFRONT UDS ECU ResetLow Voltage Controllers Low Voltage ControllersMid Voltage / Power Distribution - Reset VCFRONTLow Voltage / Power Distribution - Reset VCFront, click Run and allow the routine to complete.
- Search for "thermal" in the Actions/Autodiag tab, select TEST-SELF_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-PERFORMANCESearch for routine in ToolboxThermal System Performance TestLow Voltage Controllers Low Voltage ControllersThermal / Actions - Test Thermal Performancehv / Procedures - , click Run and allow the routine to complete.
