Remove
- Remove the steering wheel. See Steering Wheel (Remove and Install).

Disconnect the steering
wheel heating element connector, if applicable.

Release the clips (x3) that attach the horn switch to the steering wheel
rim.

Disconnect the connectors
(x2), and then remove the horn switch from the bezel.

Disconnect the electrical
harness from the lower connector.
-
Remove the screws (x4) that
attach the bright surround to the steering wheel.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket

Release the clips that attach the steering wheel bezel assembly and horn
switch to the steering wheel rim.
NoteFirst pry up the lower portion away from the steering wheel, and then work around to release the other clips.
Install

If the vehicle was not equipped with a heated steering wheel and the new
steering wheel rim has a heating element, cut the steering wheel heating
element connector.
NoteLeaving the connector attached may cause NVH issues.

Install the clips that attach the steering wheel bezel assembly and horn
switch to the steering wheel rim.

Install the screws (x4) that
attach the surround to the steering wheel.

Connect the electrical
harness to the lower connector.

Position the harness back to the horn switch, and then connect the
connectors (x2).
NoteMake sure the connectors are properly engaged.

Install the clips (x3) that attach the horn switch to the steering wheel
rim.
- Install the steering wheel. See Steering Wheel (Remove and Install).
