- 2023-08-14: Added a note about vacuum refill requirement when the coolant loss is greater than 1L.
Remove
- Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Disconnect 12V/LV power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the mid aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Mid (Remove and Replace).
-
Release the clips that attach the
coolant hoses to LH and RH shear plates.
- Remove the HV battery skid plate. See Skid Plate - HV Battery - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Position a coolant drain container underneath the LH rear of the HV battery.
-
Remove the spring clip, disconnect the
rear drive unit inverter inlet hose from the rear of HV battery, and then plug both
fittings.
- Position the coolant drain container underneath the LH rear drive unit area.
-
Remove the spring clip, disconnect the
rear drive unit inverter inlet hose from the fluid coupling, and then plug the hose end
and fluid coupling.
-
Release the clip that attaches the
rear drive unit inverter inlet hose to the rear drive unit.
-
Remove the rear drive unit inverter
inlet hose from subframe.
Install
-
Install the rear drive unit inverter
inlet hose into the subframe.
-
Remove the hose plugs, allow the
coolant to drain from the hose, connect the rear drive unit inverter inlet hose to the
rear drive unit, and then install the spring clip.
NotePerform a push-pull-push test to make sure the hose is fully seated.
