Hinge Tray - High Voltage Controller(Retrofit)

Warning

Only technicians who have completed all required certification courses are permitted to perform this procedure. Tesla recommends third party service provider technicians undergo equivalent training before performing this procedure. For more information on Tesla Technician requirements, or descriptions of the subject matter for third parties, see HV Certification Requirements. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and insulating HV gloves with a minimum rating of class 0 (1000V) must be worn at all times a high voltage cable, busbar, or fitting is handled. Refer to Tech Note TN-15-92-003, High Voltage Awareness Care Points for additional safety information.

Remove

  1. Remove all items from your pockets and make sure that you do not wear metal items.
  2. Inspect the HV insulating gloves, and then pull on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves.
  3. Release the ancillary bay harness clips (x5) and tape (x1) from the high voltage controller hinge tray.
  4. Remove the high voltage controller hinge tray.
    Note
    2x screws, 3 x wires touted through the RH hinge. Lift up the hinge tray as required for access to the fasteners.

Install

  1. Install the new high voltage controller hinge tray (1101626-00-H) to the ancillary bay.
    Note
    2x scres, T25, 2 Nm, 4x locating pins, 3x wires routed through the RH hinge.
  2. Install the harness clips (x5) and tape (x1) that attach the ancillary bay harness to the high voltage controller hinge tray.
