Track - Outer - Front Passenger Seat (Remove and Replace)
Correction code 13013002 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Warning
Seat base edges are
sharp and can cause personal injury. Wear cut resistant gloves when removing the seat
from the vehicle, and while performing procedures that involve work on or near the seat
base.
Remove
- Check that the firmware is version 2023.2.11 or above. If the firmware version is not 2023.2.11 or above, update the vehicle firmware.
- Remove the front passenger seat from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the front passenger seat outboard side shield. See Side Shield - Outboard - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the front passenger seat outboard lap pretensioner. See Pretensioner - Outboard Lap - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).

Lay the seat on its seat back to gain
access to the underside of the seat cushion.
CAUTIONProtect the seat cushion from damage as necessary.

Disconnect the seat track position
sensor electrical connector.
NoteThe sensor is located on the RH front seat, outboard inner track behind the track motor.

Remove the screw that attaches the
seat track position sensor to the seat track assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

Release the clip that attaches the
seat harness to the outer seat rail.
NoteSome seats may be have a push style clip or a slide lock style clip.

Remove and discard the bolts that
attach the front passenger seat outer track to the seat assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T50 socket

Release front passenger seat outer
track from the track bridge assembly.
NotePry up on bridge tack motor tab, and then slide the outer track away to release it.

Roll the sides of the seat covers
outwards to unlock the plastic trim from the rail, and pull the covers from the seat
rail.
Install

Line up the seat track covers (x2) to
the front edge of the seat rail, and then slide the covers onto the seat rail until they
are secure.

Install the front passenger seat outer
track onto the track bridge assembly.
NoteTrack motor cable is keyed square and must be aligned with outer track. Turn the cable by hand to align as needed. Slide the track motor bridge into the outer track until fully seated.

Install new bolts that attach the
front passenger seat outer track to the seat assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T50 socket

Position the seat track position sensor to the seat track assembly, and then install
the screw that attaches the sensor to the assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Connect the seat track position sensor electrical connector.
- Return the seat to the upright position.
- Install the front passenger seat outboard lap pretensioner. See Pretensioner - Outboard Lap - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the front passenger seat outboard side shield. See Side Shield - Outboard - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace).
- Install the front passenger seat into the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).

If servicing the front passenger seat in a North American vehicle:
- Remove all objects from the front passenger seat before beginning calibration.
- On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Software Reinstall - Touchscreen. If the vehicle firmware is not 2023.2.11 or newer, update the vehicle firmware. See Software Update. and check the vehicle firmware version. If the vehicle firmware is 2023.2.11 or newer, perform a software reinstall. See
- Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
- In Toolbox, click on the Actions tab, and then search for "OCS".
- Run the PROC_OCS1P_SELF-CALIBRATIONvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode Plus: Safety & Restraints ➜ Seats ➜ OCS1P Self Capacitance Calibration routine.
- Click on the Actions tab, and then search for "Seat calibration".
- Run the PROC_VCRIGHT_SEAT-CALIBRATEvia Toolbox: (link) routine.
- Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
