Procedure

  1. Verify there is no abnormal tire wear per Courtesy Inspection

  2. Raise and support vehicle
  3. Open all four doors

  4. Lower all four windows
  5. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3

    Vehicle connection is integrated into drivers footwell cover, Navigate to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com and establish connection to vehicle, Select connection status icon at top right corner then select connect locally, Icon will turn green when connected, Successful connection will automatically unlock vehicle gateway and place UI in Service Mode Plus, If RJ45 ethernet diagnostic connector present connect directly from laptop using an RJ45 Ethernet cable, For local connection issues with Toolbox 3 refer to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com/articles/43695

  11. Open hood

  14. Power off vehicle from center display

  15. Disconnect 12V negative terminal

  16. Remove 12V cap from ancillary

  17. Disconnect HVC logic connector and install logic cap

  18. Remove all items from pockets and ensure not wearing metal items
  19. Inspect HV insulating gloves

  50. Remove stabilizer bar from LH rear end link

  51. Remove nut securing RH rear stabilizer bar end link to stabilizer bar

  52. Remove stabilizer bar from RH rear end link

  75. Place subframe lifting tool into position underneath rear subframe
  76. Connect air supply to subframe lifting tool
  77. Raise subframe lifting tool to support rear subframe

  104. Perform the coolant pressure leak test

  105. Disconnect compressed air from coolant pressure tester

    1x connector, Make sure the connector lock is 90 degrees from the connector before beginning to secure the connector, Use one hand to support the connector while other latching locking tab. Once installed, verify that the latch is not damaged and fully secured in the latched position
