Warning
Make sure 12V/LV power has
been disconnected for at least 1 minute before disconnecting the electrical harness from
Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) components, such as Restraint Control Module, sensors,
airbags, etc. Failure to do so can result in unintended safety system behaviors. For more
information on SRS precautions, see Airbag and Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) Precautions.
Remove
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the front the bumper beam foam. See Foam - Bumper Beam - Front (Remove and Replace).
- Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH and RH pedestrian protection pressure tube sensors to the front bumper beam foam, and then remove the pressure tube from the foam.
Install
- Install the pedestrian protection pressure tube into the front bumper beam foam, and then fasten the clips (x2) that attach the LH and RH pedestrian protection pressure tube sensor to the foam.
- Install the front the bumper beam foam. See Foam - Bumper Beam - Front (Remove and Replace).
- Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
