Headliner (Non-Heat Pump) (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH side rail trim. See Trim - Side Rail - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Push to open the LH rear coat hook.
  3. Pry open the LH rear coat hook screw cover with a small flat head screwdriver.
  4. Remove the screw that attaches the LH rear coat hook to the body.
  5. Release the clips that attach the LH upper B-pillar trim to the vehicle, and then move the upper B-pillar trim aside. See Trim - B-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    Do not remove the trim from the seat belt.
  6. Remove the LH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the LH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the LH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the LH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the LH sun visor. See Sun Visor - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the LH sun visor check base. See Check Base - Sun Visor - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Repeat step 1 through step 11on the RH side of the vehicle.
  13. Remove the lower quad camera cover. See Quad Camera Cover - Lower (Remove and Replace).
  14. Remove the rear view mirror. See Mirror - Rear View (Remove and Replace).
  15. Release the clips that attach the headliner electrical harness to the LH A-pillar area.
  16. Disconnect the electrical harness from the headliner connector.
  17. Release the clips that attach the headliner to the body.
  18. With the help of an assistant, remove the headliner through the front passenger doorway and out of the vehicle.

Install

  1. With the help of an assistant, move the headliner through the front passenger doorway and into the cabin.
  2. Install the headliner to the body, and then fasten the clips that attach the headliner to the body.
  3. Connect the electrical harness to the headliner connector.
  4. Fasten the clips that attach the headliner electrical harness to the LH A-pillar area.
  5. Install the rear view mirror. See Mirror - Rear View (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the lower quad camera cover. See Quad Camera Cover - Lower (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the LH sun visor check base. See Check Base - Sun Visor - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the LH sun visor. See Sun Visor - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the LH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the LH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the LH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the LH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the LH upper B-pillar trim, and then fasten the clips that attach the trim to the vehicle. See Trim - B-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Install the screw that attaches the LH rear coat hook to the body.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
  15. Close the LH rear coat hook screw cover.
  16. Close the LH rear coat hook.
  17. Install the LH side rail trim. See Trim - Side Rail - LH (Remove and Replace).
  18. Repeat step 7 through step 17on the RH side of the vehicle.
