Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace)

Reuse

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the bolts (x9) that attach the front aero shield panel to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • ¼ in std ratchet
    • ¼ in torque wrench (installation only)
    • 4 in extension
  3. Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the front aero shield panel to the vehicle, and then remove the panel from the vehicle

    • 15 mm socket
    • ¼ in std ratchet
    • ¼ in torque wrench (installation only)
    • 4 in extension

Install

  1. Apply a thin bead of Loctite 222 to the threads of the bolts (x9) that attach the front aero shield panel to the vehicle.
  2. Install the front aero shield panel to the underside of the vehicle, and then hand-tighten the nuts (x2) to temporarily hold the panel in place.
  3. Hand-tighten the bolts (x9) that attach the front aero shield panel to the vehicle.
  4. Torque the nuts (x2) and bolts (x9) to the proper specification.
    5.5 Nm (4.1 lbs-ft)
    5.5 Nm (4.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket and 10 mm socket
    • ¼ in std ratchet
    • ¼ in torque wrench (installation only)
    • 4 in extension
  5. Lower the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
