Brightwork - Center Console (2.0) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the front doors and lower the front windows.
  2. Move the front seats to their lowest and rearmost positions.
  3. Open the center console armrest fully.
  4. Use a plastic trim tool to carefully release the clips that attach the décor trim to the center console assembly.

    Note
    Release the surrounding clips first, and then release the upper portion of the trim.
  5. Disconnect the center console inductive charger module electrical connector, and then release the surrounding clips that attach the center console decor to the center console to remove the assembly from the center console.
  6. Remove the bolts (x14) that attach the brightwork to the center console.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  7. Use a plastic trim tool to release the locator tabs (x12) that attach the brightwork to the center console.

Install

  1. Fasten the locator tabs (x12) that attach the brightwork to the center console.
  2. Install the bolts (x14) that attach the brightwork to the center console.
    1.6 Nm (1.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
    • Hexagon Torque Wrench (installation only)
  3. Connect the center console inductive charger module electrical connector, and then fasten the surrounding clips that attach the center console decor to the center console.
  4. Install the clips (x17) that attach the center console decor trim to the center console.
  5. Close the center console armrest.
  6. Move the front seats back to their orignal positions.
  7. Raise the front windows and close the front doors.
