Antenna - eCall (RHD) (Remove and Replace)

Note
This procedure applies to vehicles built before October 5th, 2020. For vehicles built on or after October 5th, 2020, the eCall antenna makes use of the cellular antenna that is located in the LH MIMO antenna unit. See Antenna - MIMO - LH (Remove and Replace) for Remove and Replace instructions.
  1. Remove the cabin intake duct assembly. See Duct - Cabin Intake (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the LH and RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH and RH upper A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the RH footwell duct. See Duct - Footwell - RH (RHD) (Remove and Replace).
  5. Disconnect 12V/LV power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  6. Remove the center console. See Center Console (Remove and Install).
  7. Remove the glove box. See Glove Box - Without Knee Airbags (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the LH footwell duct. See Duct - Footwell - LH (RHD) (Remove and Replace).
  9. Release the clips that attach the RH air wave duct to the cross bar beam, and then remove the duct from the cross bar beam.
  10. Remove the steering wheel. See Steering Wheel (Remove and Install).
  11. Remove the steering column control module. See Module - Steering Column Control (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the touchscreen. See Touchscreen (Remove and Replace).
  13. Remove the RH front vent. See Vent - Front - RH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Remove the LH front vent. See Vent - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  15. Remove the LH and RH dash speakers. See Speaker - Dash - LH (Remove and Replace).
  16. Remove the center dash speaker. See Speaker - Dash - Center (Remove and Replace).
  17. Remove the dash tweeter. See Tweeter - Dash (Remove and Replace).
  18. Disconnect the front passenger airbag connectors.
  19. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the front passenger airbag to the cross car beam.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)
  20. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the instrument panel carrier to the cross car beam at the front passenger airbag.
    2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)
  21. Remove the screws (x10) that attach the instrument panel carrier to the cross car beam.
    2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)
  22. Slightly remove the instrument panel carrier from cross car beam to gain access to e-call antenna.
  23. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the eCall antenna.
  24. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the eCall antenna to the vehicle (torque 2.7 Nm), and then remove the eCall antenna assembly from the vehicle.

Install

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
