  1. Inspect the front external lights.

  3. Inspect the aiming of the headlights. See Headlights (Check Aiming) (Inspection).
  4. Inspect the windshield for rock chips and cracks.

    No damage in the driver’s viewing area, airbag impact area, forward camera viewing area, or within 50 mm of the edge allowed. No more than 3 cracks or chips to the glass are allowed.
  5. Check all emergency release cables and switches.

    Use caution with front door releases as door glass will not drop and could damage seals or bright molding.
  6. Function check chargeport door (5 cycles).

    Ensure hood and doors are closed prior to activating wipers. Inspect and note functionality for wipers and wiper jets. Check for full range of motion, speed of motion, interference with other components, noises such as creaks, groans and clicks, pauses or incomplete actions.
  35. Inspect the upper steering column grub screws. See Grub Screws - Upper Steering Column (Inspect).
  36. Open the hood.

    Press "Open" button on touchscreen to release latch, Lift lid manually.
  37. Fill the washer reservoir with fluid.
  38. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  39. Perform inspection of under hood area.

    Perform inspection of vehicle under hood area. Check for signs of abnormal damage, wear, heavy rust, wiring damage, or impact damage. Pay attention to safety related component and note any items of significance.
  40. Visually inspect brake fluid level.
  41. Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary.

  42. On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap Thermal > Actions > Test Thermal Performance, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  43. Inspect the radiator inlet at the front fascia for debris.

  45. Check the rear knuckle upper ball joint for excessive play. See Knuckle - Suspension - Rear (Inspect)
  46. Measure and record LH rear brake pad thickness.

  59. Check all four tire pressures manually.

  60. Raise the vehicle to a comfortable working height, and lower the lift onto locks.

    CAUTION

    Make sure there is an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise the vehicle may tilt to one side.

    Make sure that the doors are clear of surrounding objects.

  61. Perform inspection of steering components.

  62. Perform visual inspection of HV battery enclosure.

  65. Perform visual inspection of underside of vehicle for any coolant leaks.

  67. Perform inspection of suspension components.

    Check conditions of ball joints and bushings, etc. Inspect for any loose fasteners. Carefully apply pressure with a pry bar as needed.
  68. Inspect all rear lateral and compliance link's rubber bushing.

  69. Install the rear aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  70. Install the front aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  71. Install all wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  72. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  73. Remove the vehicle from the lift.

  75. Check for active alerts.

  76. Update vehicle firmware if available.

    Select the clock on the center display, or go to the Software tab, then select install now to start firmware update. Select Install Now, Tap count down timer until clock runs down to 0, Check the center display and ensure the firmware package is installing.
