Tesla Badge - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Prepare the badge removal tool (1453028-00-A) with approximately 24 inches/60 centimeters of monofilament line.
- Tie slip knots at both ends of the fishing line and attach them each to the center groove of a handle.
- Move the badge removal tool in a sawing motion to separate the rear Tesla badge from the trunk lid.
- Use IPA wipes to clean all adhesive residue and debris from the trunk lid surface.
Install

Install the rear Tesla badge alignment
tool (1944666-00-A) into position on the trunk lid and tape the tool in place.
NoteEnsure that the tool is aligned with the left edge of the rear camera.
- Peel the adhesive backing from the trunk badge, align the holes on the badge protective film to the locating pins of the alignment tool, and then press the badge to the trunk.

Use a pressure roller (1465974-00-A)
to fully adhere the badge.
CAUTIONBe careful not to damage the badge during the rolling process.
- Remove the protective film from the badge, and then remove the alignment tool from the trunk lid.
- Use an IPA wipe to clean the badge and the area around the badge.
