Remove
-
Remove the ancillary bay cover.
See Ancillary Bay Cover (Remove and Replace).
WarningHV insulating gloves and leather glove protectors must be worn throughout the remainder of this procedure. Do not remove gloves or protectors until otherwise noted.
- Remove the pyrotechnic battery disconnect. See Pyro Disconnect - HV Battery (Remove and Replace).
-
Release the locking tab, and
then disconnect the AC filter harness connector.
NoteRelease the locking tab by pulling upward. Use a plastic trim tool to help lift the connector.
- Release the clip that attaches the AC filter harness to the tray, and then disconnect the fast charge contactor connector.
- Disconnect the electrical harness from the DC input assembly.
-
Disconnect the AC filter
inlet harness from the ancillary bay HV header.
NoteRelease the red locking and rotate the lever arm upwards to release the harness.WarningThe video(s) included in this procedure are meant as an overview for supplemental purposes only. Follow all of the steps listed in the procedure to avoid damage to components and/or personal injury.
-
Remove and discard the bolts
(x2) that attach the AC filter harness to the ancillary bay.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- External Torx E10 5-Lobe
- Insulated
tools:
- Ratchet/torque wrench
-
Release the tabs (x2) that attach the AC filter harness to the
header.
NoteLift the connector up to gain access to release the tabs.
-
Remove the HV battery AC
filter harness from the ancillary bay.
NoteSlide the harness through the ancillary bay.
Install
- Position the HV battery AC filter harness into the ancillary bay.
-
Install the tabs (x2) that attach the AC filter harness to the
header.
NoteInspect the seal of the header for any damages, and replace it if needed.
-
Install new bolts (x2) that
attach the AC filter harness to the ancillary bay, and then mark the bolts with
a paint pen after they are torqued.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- External Torx E10 5-Lobe
- Insulated
tools:
- Ratchet/torque wrench
-
Connect the AC filter inlet harness to the HV header.
NoteRotate the lever arm downward to secure the locking tab.
- Connect the electrical harness to the DC input assembly.
- Connect the fast charge contactor connector, and then install the clip that attaches the AC filter harness to the tray.
-
Connect the AC filter harness connector, and then engage the red locking
tab.
NoteMake sure the connector is fully seated.
- Measure the voltage across the pyrotechninc battery disconnect mount points, and then install the pyrotechnic battery disconnect. See Pyro Disconnect - HV Battery (Remove and Replace).
-
Install the ancillary bay cover. See Ancillary Bay Cover (Remove and Replace).
NoteBefore installing the ancillary bay cover, inspect the ancillary bay cover seal and confirm there is no visual damage. If the seal is torn and/or delaminated, replace the ancillary bay cover.
