Switch - Interior Door Release - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open the LH rear door.
- Lower the LH rear window.
- Remove the LH rear door puddle light. See Puddle Lamp - Rear Door (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).

Release the tabs (x3), and then remove
the NVH pad from the LH rear door trim panel.
NoteRecommend an assistant to hold the door trim.NoteDo not remove the door electrical connector and clips.
- Disconnect the electric release switch connector.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
interior door handle to the LH rear door panel trim.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 2 in extension
- Torx T20 socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Remove the bolt that attaches the
electric release switch to the door handle.
NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 2 in extension
- Torx T20 socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
NoteGently release the door handle to gain access to the bolt location. - Apply masking tape around the work area to protect the door trim panel.

Pry open the front portion of interior
door handle.

- Release the tabs and then remove the interior door release switch from the door trim panel.
Install

Fasten the tabs that attach the
interior door release switch onto the door trim panel.

- Secure the front portion of the interior door handle onto the door trim panel.
- Remove the masking tape from the door trim panel.

Install the bolt that attaches the
electric release switch to the door handle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 2 in extension
- Torx T20 socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
NoteGently release the door handle to gain access to the bolt location. -
Install the bolts (x2) that attach the
interior door handle to door panel trim.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 2 in extension
- Torx T20 socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Connect the electric release switch connector.
- Install the NVH pad onto the rear door trim panel and secure the pad with the tabs (x3).
- Install the LH rear door puddle light. See Puddle Lamp - Rear Door (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
