NoteNo damage in the driver’s viewing area, airbag impact area, forward camera viewing area, or within 50 mm of the edge allowed, No more than 3 cracks or chips to the glass allowed

NoteFront door releases, Trunk release, Use caution with front door releases as door glass will not drop and could damage seals or bright molding

Remove closeout panel from frunk assembly
Note4x clips, 1x connector, Frunk safety switch, 3x guide tabs, Grab closeout panel from bottom then pull it upward to release clips, Disconnect switch

Remove frunk assembly carpet
NoteNote: Not all Model 3 vehicles have a frunk carpet installed

Remove bolts securing frunk assembly
Note7x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

Remove frunk assembly from vehicle
Note12x clips, Replace any clips if broken or missing, Number of clips may vary on older vehicles

Perform inspection of under hood area
NotePerform inspection of vehicle under hood area, Check for signs of abnormal damage, wear, heavy rust, wiring damage, or impact damage, Pay attention to safety related component and note any items of significance

Visually inspect brake fluid level

Inspect radiator inlet in front fascia for debris

Install brake rotor run out flex bar onto LH rear knuckle and setup for reading
NotePay attention to the clamp location and the routing of the flex bar, firmly connect the indicator rod to the upper link bolt head, fnsure the indicator rod is properly depressed, allowing travel in both directions without bottoming out and set the measurement to zero

Remove brake rotor run out flex bar from LH knuckle assembly

Install brake rotor run out flex bar onto RH rear knuckle and setup for reading
NotePay attention to the clamp location and the routing of the flex bar, firmly connect the indicator rod to the upper link bolt head, fnsure the indicator rod is properly depressed, allowing travel in both directions without bottoming out and set the measurement to zero

Inspect RH Rear Upper Knuckle Ball Joint play
NoteInsert medium size prybar between the aft link and the knuckle and push to check, make sure the prybar is pushing the noted area in the middle of the link's side, this will give proper measurement and avoid link rotation. Note the values of the analog indicator, replace RH Rear Upper Knuckle Ball Joint if the play is greater than 1,00mm

Remove brake rotor run out flex bar from RH knuckle assembly

Measure and record LH rear brake pad thickness
NoteRecommend replacement if 2mm or less, Check both inboard and outboard pads

Inspect LH rear brake rotor condition
NoteCheck for excessive rust or wear, Minimum spec 26mm

Measure and record RH rear brake pad thickness
NoteRecommend replacement if 2 mm or less, Check both inboard and outboard pads

Inspect RH rear brake rotor condition

Measure and record RH front brake pad thickness

Record tread depth for LH front tire
NoteMeasure and record the outer, center, and inner tread depths, Measure the circumferential tire grooves only, Do not place the tire tread gauge probe on the molded treadwear indicators, Recommend replacement if tread depth is 4/32in (3mm) or less

Record tread depth for RH front tire
NoteMeasure and record the outer, center, and inner tread depths, Measure the circumferential tire grooves only, Do not place the tire tread gauge probe on the molded treadwear indicators, Recommend replacement if tread depth is 4/32in (3mm) or less

Check all four tire pressures manually
Note4x tires, 4x caps, Set to specification if necessary, Refer to the "Tire and Loading Information" label located on the driver side B-pillar, Inspect wheels and tires for any bulges or damage while checking/setting pressures

Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
NoteSet vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

Perform inspection of steering components
NoteCheck steering gear joints and electrical connections, Verify components are not bent or damaged

Perform visual inspection of HV battery enclosure
NoteCheck for any dents, scrapes, or other damage

Remove outer fasteners securing front aero shield
Note9x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

Remove front aero shield
Note2x nuts, 15mm, 5 Nm

Remove rear aero shield
Note13x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

Perform visual inspection of underside of vehicle for any coolant leaks
NotePay special attention to hose connection points

Perform inspection of vehicle underside components front and rear
NotePerform inspection of vehicle underside front and rear, Check for signs of abnormal damage, wear, heavy rust, wiring damage, or impact damage, Pay attention to safety related component and note any items of significance

Perform inspection of suspension components
NoteCheck conditions of ball joints and bushings, etc, Inspect for any loose fasteners, Carefully apply pressure with a pry bar as needed

Inspect all rear lateral and compliance link's rubber bushing
NoteLook for cracks on the rubber partcompare the location according to the images and follow the guide: Damage is contained to the green zone: Do not replace the part• Damage is in the yellow zone on one side of the bushing: Do not replace the part• Damage is in the yellow zone on both sides of the bushing: Part needs replacement• Damage is in the red zone: Part needs replacement

Install rear aero shield
Note13x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Apply Loctite 222 to bolts before installing

Position front aero shield to vehicle and install nuts
Note2x nuts, 15mm, 5 Nm

Apply Loctite 222 onto front aero shield bolts and install outer fasteners to front aero shield
Note9x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

Lower vehicle partially
NoteRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

Install LH rear wheel
Note5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool

Install LH front wheel
Note5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool

Install RH rear wheel

Update vehicle firmware if available
NoteSelect the clock on the center display, or go to the Software tab, then select install now to start firmware update. Select Install Now, Tap count down timer until clock runs down to 0, Check the center display and ensure the firmware package is installing
