Camera - B-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH B-pillar applique. See Applique - B-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH B-pillar camera to the LH B-pillar applique, and then remove the camera from the B-pillar applique.

    Note
    Remove the bolts and wiggle the camera to clear the o-ring from the LH B-pillar applique.

Install

  1. Position the LH B-pillar camera on the LH B-pillar applique, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the camera to the B-pillar applique.

    Wiggle the camera o-ring through the B-pillar applique, and then install the bolts that attach the camera to the B-pillar applique.

  2. Install the LH B-pillar applique. See Applique - B-Pillar - LH (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    Back to current procedure before performing routines.
  3. Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  4. On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap Driver Assist > Cameras > Clear Camera Calibration, select BPillars in the Camera Selection field, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  5. In Toolbox 3.0, perform the following steps.
    1. Click the Actions tab, type "DAS" into the search field, click PROC_DAS_X_ENTER-CALIBRATION-MODEvia Toolbox: (link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
    2. Click the Actions tab, type "interior" into the search field, click PING-HTTP_DAS_X_INTERIOR-CAMERA-SCRIPTvia Toolbox: (link), change the timeout to 100, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
    3. Click the Actions tab, type "DAS" into the search field, click PROC_DAS_X_EXIT-CALIBRATION-MODEvia Toolbox: (link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  6. Disconnect the laptop.
  7. On the touchscreen, press and hold the Exit Service Mode button to exit Service Mode Plus.
  8. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
  9. Inform the customer that the vehicle needs to be driven by the customer to complete the calibration procedure.

    Note
    Self-calibration can take up to 100 miles (160 km) of manual driving, depending upon the road type and condition. Until self-calibration is complete, the message "Autopilot Features Currently Unavailable: Manual Driving Required While Camera Is Calibrating" is displayed if an attempt is made to engage an Autopilot feature.
