Remove

Place the vehicle on the 2-post lift.
NoteEnsure the vehicle is not charging.
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Disconnect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove LH and RH rear wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the rear aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Rear (Remove and Replace).

Use a clip pry tool to remove the
clips (x3) that attach the LH rear wheel arch liner to the rear fascia, then repeat this
step on the RH side.

Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the
rear diffuser to the vehicle.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Remove the bolts (x6) that attach the
rear fascia diffuser to the outer edge of the rear fascia.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Lower the vehicle partially and set the lift onto locks.
NoteRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered.

Disconnect the electrical connector
from the pedestrian warning speaker.

Remove the clip that attaches the
harness to the pedestrian warning speaker.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
rear fascia diffuser to the inside of the rear fascia.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Release the location hooks (x2) that
attach the rear fascia harness to the rear fascia diffuser.

Release the tabs (x10) that attach the
rear fascia diffuser to the rear fascia, and then remove the diffuser.

Disconnect LH rear wheel speed sensor
harness.

Disconnect RH rear wheel speed sensor connector.
-
Disconnect the RH side subframe harness connector.
-
Remove RH side subframe harness clips
from body.
-
Release RDU logic connection.
NoteDo not get coolant ingress into this connector, move aside as needed.

Release RDU logic connection clip.
-
Release oil pump connector.
NoteDo not push down on red tab, pull red tab to disengage lock and pull again to release connector.

Disconnect the resolver connector.
-
Use a clip prytool to release the clips (x2) from the rear drive unit.
-
Release clips (x4) securing subframe
harness to top of rear subframe.
NoteUsing a pry bar inserted through the access hole, pry the harness clips upward to release them. Remove three clips from the lower side and one clip from the upper side.

Release clips (X2) securing subframe
harness to left and right of subframe.
NoteInsert a long pry bar through the access holes located on both sides of the rear subframe to release and remove the clips.

Remove harness from subframe assembly.
NoteTake out the harness from the gap between the RDU and the subframe and take out the harness from left to right.
Install

Place the front subframe harness to
the front subframe, and then secure the front subframe harness clips (x2) along left and
right of subframe.

Install clips (x4) securing subframe
harness to top of rear subframe.
NoteLocate the clip installation positions through the access holes, then align and install the clips securely. Request assistance if necessary.

Secure the clips (x2) onto the rear drive unit.
-
Connect the resolver connector.
-
Secure oil pump connector.
-
Secure RDU logic connection clip.
-
Secure RDU logic connection.
NoteDo not get coolant ingress into this connector, move aside as needed.

Install RH side subframe harness clip
to the body.
-
Connect the RH side subframe harness connector.
-
Connect LH rear wheel speed sensor harness.
-
Connect RH rear wheel speed sensor connector.
-
Position the rear fascia diffuser to
the vehicle, and then fasten the tabs (x10) that attach the rear fascia diffuser to the
rear fascia.

Secure the location hooks (x2) that
attach the rear fascia harness to the rear fascia diffuser.
-
Install the bolts (x2) that attach the
rear fascia diffuser to the inside of the rear fascia.
3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- 10 mm socket

Install the clip that attaches the
harness to the pedestrian warning speaker.
-
Connect the electrical connector to
the pedestrian warning speaker.
-
Raise the vehicle fully and lower the lift onto locks.
CAUTION
Make sure there is an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise the vehicle may tilt to one side.
Make sure that the doors are clear of surrounding objects.

Install the bolts (x6) that attach the
rear fascia diffuser to the outer edge of the rear fascia.
3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- 10 mm socket

Apply a thin bead of Loctite 222 to
the threads of the bolts (x4) that attach the rear diffuser to the vehicle.
4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- 10 mm socket

Install the clips (x3) that attach the
LH rear wheel arch liner to the rear fascia, then repeat this step on the RH side.

- Install LH and RH rear wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Connect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
- Remove the lift arms from below the vehicle.
