Buckle - Seatbelt - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

  • Ratchet/torque wrench
 Replace

Remove

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  2. Open the RH rear door and lower the RH rear window.
  3. Disconnect LV power. See LV Battery - Li-lon (Disconnect and Connect).
  4. Remove the LH front seat inboard side shield. See Side Shield - Inboard - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Disconnect the LH front seat buckle electrical connector.
  6. Release the felt that attaches the connector to the seat track.
  7. Remove and discard the patchbolt that attaches the buckle to the seat track, and then remove the buckle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • Torx T50 socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

Install

  1. Position the driver seat buckle into the vehicle, and then install a new patchbolt that attaches the buckle to the seat track.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • Torx T50 socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  2. Secure the felt that attaches the connector to the seat track.
  3. Connect the LH front seat buckle electrical connector.
  4. Connect LV power. See LV Battery - Li-lon (Disconnect and Connect).
  5. Install the driver seat inboard side shield. See Side Shield - Inboard - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Raise the RH rear window and close the RH rear door.
  7. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
