Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the cabin intake duct. See Assembly - Fresh Air Gutter - HVAC (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the access panel. See Cover - Hood Latch (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the LH and RH wiper arms and blades. See Wiper Arm - Driver Side (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the LH and RH hood hinge covers. See Cover - Hood Hinge - LH (Remove and Replace)
  7. Remove the LH and RH shock tower covers. See Cover - Shock Tower - LH (Remove and Install).
  8. Remove the cowl screen panel. See Panel - Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the wiper motor. See Wiper Module (LHD) (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the hood. See Hood Assembly \(Remove and Replace\).
  11. Use tape to mark the mounting location of the hinge on the body.

  12. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH hood hinge to the body, and then remove the hinge from the vehicle.

    • Ratchet/torque wrench

Install

  1. Position the LH hood hinge into the vehicle.
  2. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH hood hinge to the body.
    24 Nm (17.7 lbs-ft)

    Use the masking tape to aid in alignment. Adjust the hood hinge as needed.

  3. Remove the masking tape from the LH hinge location.
  4. With an assistant, install the hood. See Hood Assembly \(Remove and Replace\).
  5. Install the wiper motor. See Wiper Module (LHD) (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the cowl screen panel. See Panel - Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the LH and RH shock tower covers. See Cover - Shock Tower - LH (Remove and Install).
  8. Install the LH and RH hood hinge covers. See Cover - Hood Hinge - LH (Remove and Replace)
  9. Install the LH and RH wiper arms and blades. See Wiper Arm - Driver Side (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the access panel. See Cover - Hood Latch (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the cabin intake duct. See Assembly - Fresh Air Gutter - HVAC (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
