Switch Window - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Bolt at the middle of the LH rear door armrest
6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
  • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
  • 4 in extension
  • Torx T30 socket
  • Ratchet/torque wrench
Reuse

Remove

  1. Open the LH rear door and lower the LH rear window.
  2. Remove the bolt at the middle of the LH rear door armrest, as illustrated.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 4 in extension
    • Torx T30 socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  3. Release the clips (x8) that attach the bolt cover to the middle of the LH rear door armrest, and then remove the bolt cover from the armrest.
  4. Disconnect the LH rear window switch electrical connector.
  5. Release the tabs (x3) that attach the LH rear window switch to the door trim, and then remove the switch from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Release the harness from the replacement LH rear window switch.
  2. Secure the tabs (x3) that attach the LH rear window switch to the door trim.

  3. Connect the LH rear window switch electrical connector.
  4. Fasten the clips (x8) that attach the bolt cover to the middle of the LH rear door armrest.
  5. Install the bolt at the middle of the LH rear door armrest.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 4 in extension
    • Torx T30 socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  6. Raise the LH rear window and close the LH rear door.
