USB Drive (Dispose)

CAUTION
For certain regions, this procedure must be performed prior to disposing a USB drive from a vehicle that has changed ownership. The USB drive might contain personally identifying Customer data. Failure to perform this procedure can result in vulnerabilities to Customer and Tesla internal information.

Procedure

  1. Using large side cutting pliers, cut through the connector and memory chip of the USB drive.
    Note
    All electronic components, including the memory chip, are located under the USB connector.
  2. Dispose of the USB drive and the cut off section as electronic waste.
    Note
    Follow local regulations regarding electronic waste disposal.
