Handle - Exterior Release - Trunk (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Remove the trunk lid trim. See Trim - Lid - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
- Use masking tape to mark the location of the trunk striker.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the trunk exterior release switch and the rear facing camera.
- Release the clips that attach the trunk exterior release switch to the liftgate.
- Remove the switch from the vehicle.
Install
- Install the switch to the vehicle.
- Install new clips that attach the trunk exterior release switch to the trunk.
- Connect the electrical connectors to the trunk exterior release switch and the rear facing camera.
- Install the trunk lid trim. See Trim - Lid - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.

In Toolbox, select the
connection status icon at the top right corner, and then select "Connect
Locally".
NoteThe icon will turn green when the vehicle is connected.

Put the key card on the center console and follow the onscreen instructions
to unlock the gateway.
WarningStacking a mobile phone and a NFC card in wireless charger may damage the card.
- On the touchscreen, touch , follow the onscreen instructions and run the routine.
- In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag tab, type "Calibration Mode" into the search field, click DAS Enter Calibration Mode, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- Click the Actions tab, type "back up" into the search field, click PING-HTTP_DAS_X_BACKUP-CAMERA-SCRIPTvia Toolbox: (link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- Verify that the rear facing camera works properly.
- Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
