Blower - Cushion - Front Seat - LH (Remove and Replace)

Seat base edges are sharp and can cause personal injury. Wear cut resistant gloves when removing the seat from the vehicle, and while performing procedures that involve work on or near the seat base.

Torque Specifications

Replace

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Move the driver seat fully forward.
  3. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the rear of the driver seat to the body.

    Use only the Torx Plus T45 bit to remove the seat bolts.

    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx Plus T45 socket
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  4. Move the driver seat fully rearward.
  5. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the front of the driver seat to the body.

    CAUTION
    Use only the Torx Plus T45 bit to remove the seat bolts.

    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx Plus T45 socket
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  6. Tilt the driver seat rearward to gain access to the driver seat cushion ventilation fan.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the driver seat cushion ventilation fan.
  8. Release the clips (x2) and guide tab that attach the driver seat cushion ventilation fan to the driver seat frame, and then remove the fan from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Fasten the clips (x2) and guide tab that attach the driver seat cushion ventilation fan to the driver seat frame.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the driver seat cushion ventilation fan.
  3. Tilt the driver seat forward back to its original position.
  4. Install new bolts (x2) that attach the front of the driver seat to the body.
    33.5 Nm (24.7 lbs-ft)

  5. Move the driver seat fully forward.
  6. Install new bolts (x2) that attach the rear of the driver seat to the body.
    33.5 Nm (24.7 lbs-ft)

  7. Move the driver seat back to its original position.
  8. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
