Bracket - Bushing - Front Stabilizer Bar - LH (Remove and Replace)

Replace

Remove

  1. Remove the front aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the front fascia valance. See Valance - Front Fascia (Non-Performance) (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    No need to remove the pedestrian warning speaker from the valance.
  3. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH front stabilizer bar to the front stabilizer bar link, and then move the LH front stabilizer bar link aside.

    • 18 mm socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
  4. Remove and discard the nuts (x2) that attach the LH front stabilizer bar to the front subframe.

    • 15 mm deep socket
    • 6 in extension
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver

Install

  1. Install the bracket to the front stabilizer bar bushing.

    Note
    Make sure to fit the bracket onto the bushing; apply lubricant for better installation.
  2. Install the new nuts (x2) that attach the LH front stabilizer bar to the subframe, and then mark the nuts with a paint pen after they are torqued.
    35 Nm (25.8 lbs-ft)

    • 15 mm deep socket
    • 6 in extension
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
  3. Position the LH front stabilizer bar links to the front stabilizer bar; install a new nut to attach the link to the stabilizer bar, and then mark the nut with a paint pen after it is torqued.
    98 Nm (72.3 lbs-ft)
