  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Open hood
  4. Partially release LH front primary door seal

  6. Remove screw securing IP lower assembly to IP assembly

  7. Remove IP lower assembly from IP assembly

  8. Remove rear underhood apron

  9. Power off vehicle from center display

    Via Controls > Safety > Power Off, Select Power Off button at warning dialogue box
  10. Disconnect LV battery and first responder loop

    2x connectors, Release green locking tab, Press black tab then pull black connector lock outwards to release connection, Release red lock tab on FRL, Allow 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge
  11. Move steering column to the most outward position

    1x lever, manually adjust, lock lever in place once adjusted
  12. Release driver air bag assembly away from steering wheel

    2x spring clips, 2x datums, Press the spring simultaneously from two access holes to release, Access holes located at 4 and 8 o’clock position, Do not insert tool too far as air bag connector could be damaged
  13. Disconnect driver air bag connector and removal air bag assembly

  15. Remove bolt securing steering wheel to steering column

    1x patch bolt, 10mm hex, 80 Nm, Discard after removal, Counter hold the steering wheel when breaking bolt loose
  16. Remove steering wheel from steering column
  17. Release steering column lower shroud from upper shroud

    1x alignment clip,2x retention holes
  18. Remove upper shroud from steering column

    2x screws, T20, 1.5 Nm, 6x clips
  19. Disconnect SCCM assembly connector

    1x connector, Remove retaining clip on the connector, Release connector, Then remove the remaining broken clip from connector, Discard retaining clip after removal, Originally installed clip is black, Replacement clip is orange
  20. Loosen bolt securing SCCM to steering column

    1x bolt, T25, 2.4 Nm, Loosen only, Do not remove
  21. Remove SCCM from steering column
  22. Remove bolts securing gap hider lower from steering column

  23. Remove lower gap hider from steering column

    2x locator clips ,4x retention holes
  24. Install lower gap hider to steering column

  25. Install bolts securing gap hider lower to steering column

  26. Position SCCM onto steering column
  27. Install SCCM to steering column

  28. Connect SCCM assembly connector

    1x connector, Install new orange retaining clip to connector then install SCCM connector, Perform push-pull-push to make sure connector is seated properly
  29. Position steering wheel to column

    Align the marking and keyed part of steering wheel and column, the steering wheel and column are keyed
  30. Install bolt securing steering wheel to steering column

    1x patch bolt, 10mm hex, 80 Nm, Install new patch bolt
  31. Connect steering wheel connector

  32. Connect driver airbag connector

    Note
    1x connector, Make sure that the driver air bag harness doesn’t get caught between the driver air bag and the horn mechanism
  33. Install driver air bag assembly to steering wheel

    Note
    2x spring clips, 2x datums, Position driver air bag onto steering wheel, Align datums onto clips, Press down on one side of air bag until clip is fully seated, then repeat on other side, You should hear an audible click, Perform pull test on each side of driver air bag assembly, Confirm the gap and space between driver air bag assembly to steering wheel is symmetrical

  36. Install LH IP end cap

  37. Install LH front primary seal

    Verify seal is seated properly on all trim panels
  38. Connect first responder loop and LV battery

    2x connectors, Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated
  39. Install rear underhood apron

    14x clips, Hold rear wall of frunk to keep from flexing while engaging front clips
  40. Close hood
  41. Raise LH front window
  42. Close LH front door
