Touchscreen - Front (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Disconnect the LV battery power. See LV Battery - Li-lon (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the instrumental panel service panel. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace).

Disconnect the temperature sensor connector.

Remove and discard the patch bolts (x2) that attach the center display to
the instrumental panel carrier.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 2 in extension
- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Disconnect the harness connectors (x2) from the touchscreen.
- Remove the touchscreen from the vehicle.
Install
- Position the touchscreen into the vehicle, and then connect the harness connectors (x2) to the touchscreen.

Install the new patch bolts (x2) that attach the center display to the
instrumental panel carrier.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 2 in extension
- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Connect the temperature sensor connector.
- Install the instrumental panel service panel. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace).
- Connect the LV battery power. See LV Battery - Li-lon (Disconnect and Connect).
- Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- On the laptop, select Actions/Autodiag, and then search for "PING-BASH_DISPLAY". Select PING-BASH_DISPLAYSearch for routine in ToolboxDisplay Connection Test, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- Search for "PROC_ICE_X_GATEWAY-SAFE-REBOOT", select PROC_ICE_X_GATEWAY-SAFE-REBOOTSearch for routine in ToolboxGateway Reboot, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- Remove the diagnostic cable from the port to disconnect Toolbox 3.0 from the vehicle.
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
