Reuse

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower all the windows.
  2. Remove the phone dock assembly. See Phone Dock (Clip) - Interior Trim - Center Console (Remove and Replace)
  3. Remove the center console rear end panel. See Panel - Rear End - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH rear of the center console to the body. Repeat this step for the RH rear of the center console.

    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 10 mm socket
    • 2 in extension
    • Torque Wrench Hexagon - 1060071-00-A
  5. Remove the LH center console rear side panel. See Panel - Rear Side - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the LH center console front side panel. See Carpet - Side - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front of the center console to the body.

  8. Remove LH center console decor trim. See Decor Trim - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the RH center console rear side panel. See Panel - Rear Side - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the RH center console front side panel. See Carpet - Side - Center Console - RH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the RH front of the center console to the body.

  12. Remove the RH center console decor trim. See Decor Trim - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Disconnect the LV power. See LV Battery - Li-lon (Disconnect and Connect).
  14. Remove the center console armrest assembly. See Armrest - Center Console (Remove and Install).
  15. Remove the center console top face panel. See Top Panel - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  16. Remove the center console sliding bin lid assembly. See Sliding Door Assembly - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  17. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear of the center console.

    Note
    After disconnecting the electrical harness, release the clip that attaches the electrical connector to the center console with a clip prytool.
  18. Release the clip that attaches the electrical harness, and then disconnect the electrical connector from the right front of the center console.
  19. With an assistant, remove the center console structure assembly from the vehicle as follows:
    1. Tilt the rear of the console structure upwards.
    2. Pull the console structure towards the rear of the vehicle.
    3. Tilt the front of the console structure upwards.
    4. Remove the console structure through the passenger front door.

Install

  1. With an assistant, install the center console structure assembly into the vehicle as follows:
    1. Tilt the front of the console structure downwards.
    2. Slide the console structure towards the front of the vehicle.
    3. Tilt the rear of the console structure downwards until it is in place.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the right front of the center console, and then install the clip that attaches the electrical harness.
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the rear of the center console.

    Install the clip that attaches the electrical connector to the center console first and then connect the electrical harness.

    CAUTION
    Ensure the connector is properly installed. Perform a push-pull test before continuing this procedure.
  4. Install the center console sliding bin lid assembly. See Sliding Door Assembly - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the center console top face panel. See Top Panel - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the center console armrest. See Armrest - Center Console (Remove and Install) .
  7. Reconnect the LV power. See LV Battery - Li-lon (Disconnect and Connect).
  8. Install the RH center console decor trim. See Decor Trim - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the RH front of the center console to the body.
    7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)

  10. Install the RH center console front side panel. See Carpet - Side - Center Console - RH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the RH center console rear side panel. See Panel - Rear Side - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the LH center console decor trim. See Decor Trim - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front of the center console to the body.
    7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)

  14. Install the LH center console front side panel. See Carpet - Side - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  15. Install the LH center console rear side panel. See Panel - Rear Side - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  16. Install the bolt that attaches the RH rear of the center console to the body. Repeat this step for the LH rear of the center console.
    7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)

  17. Install the center console rear end panel. See Panel - Rear End - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  18. Install the phone dock assembly. See Phone Dock (Clip) - Interior Trim - Center Console (Remove and Replace)
  19. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
