Ground Strap - Front Drive Unit (TL2) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the front aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the bolt that attaches the front drive unit ground strap to the front drive unit.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  4. Remove the bolt that attaches the front drive unit ground strap to the HV battery, and then remove the ground strap from the vehicle.
    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

Install

  1. Install the bolt that attaches the front drive unit ground strap to the HV battery.
    13 Nm (9.6 lbs-ft)
    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  2. Install the bolt that attaches the front drive unit ground strap to the front drive unit.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)
    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  3. Install the rear aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the vehicle from the 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
