Ambient Light - Rear Door (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open the LH rear door, and then lower the LH rear window.
- Remove the LH rear door puddle light. See Puddle Lamp - Rear Door (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH rear door NVH pad. See NVH Pad - Door - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect the LH rear door ambient light module connector.
- Release the tab that attaches the LH rear door ambient light module to the door trim bracket.
- Use a 45 degree pick to release the tabs (x2) and locator pin that attach the LH rear door ambient light module to the LED light strip, and then remove the ambient light module from the vehicle.
Install

Engage the tabs (x2) and locator pin that attach the LH rear door ambient
light module to the LED light strip.
NoteAlign the locator pin before installation.NoteTake care not damaging the LED light strip.
- Engage the tab that attaches the LH rear door ambient light module to the door trim bracket.
- Connect the LH rear door ambient light module connector.
- Install the LH rear door NVH pad. See NVH Pad - Door - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH rear door puddle light. See Puddle Lamp - Rear Door (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag tab, and then type "TEST-SELF_VCLEFT_RGB" into the search field.
- Click TEST-SELF_VCLEFT_RGBvia Toolbox: (link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- Disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Raise the LH rear window, and then close the LH rear door.
