Remove
- Open all four doors and lower all four windows.
- Apply tape to the rear door to mark the lower hinge location.
- Apply tape to the body to mark the rear lower hinge location.

Use a jack to support the LH rear door
from the bottom.
NoteMake sure to use soft material to protect the painted surface.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
lower door hinge to the LH rear door.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 6 in extension
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 10 mm socket

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
lower door hinge to the body.
NoteSupport the door hinge to make sure it does not fall in the door jam.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 13 mm socket
- Carefully remove the LH rear door lower hinge from the vehicle.
Install
- Align the new lower hinge with the applied tape on the body, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the lower door hinge to body hand tight.
- Align the new lower hinge with the applied tape on the LH rear door, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the lower hinge to the LH rear door hand tight.

Tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the
LH rear door lower hinge to the body.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 13 mm socket

Tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the
LH rear door lower hinge to the door.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 6 in extension
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 10 mm socket
- Remove the jack that supports the LH rear door.

Close the LH rear door and check for
gap and flushness. Adjust as necessary.
NoteRefer to CVIS for current gap/flush specifications.
- Remove the tape from the LH body side and the LH rear door.

Clean the LH rear door side upper
hinge bolts with IPA wipes.
NoteAllow 1 minute for the IPA to dry.

Apply touch up paint on the LH rear
door hinge bolts as needed.
NoteShake the touch up paint before applying. Allow the first coat to dry for 20 minutes before applying and second coat.
- Raise all four windows and close all four doors.
