Crush Can - Lower - Front (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

  • Ratchet/torque wrench
  • 3 in extension
  • 15 mm socket
  • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
Replace Bolt is patched.

Remove

  1. Remove the front fascia assembly. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    It is not necessary to remove the front fascia harness, valance and grille from the front fascia assembly.
  2. Remove the ankle catcher. See Ankle Catcher (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the crush can to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 3 in extension
    • 15 mm socket
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver

Install

  1. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the crush can to the vehicle.
    53 Nm (39.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 3 in extension
    • 15 mm socket
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
  2. Install the ankle catcher. See Ankle Catcher (Remove and Replace).
  3. Install the front fascia assembly. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Replace).
