Closeout Panel - Door - Front - LH (Remove and Install)
Correction Code 11701001 Correction Code 11701201
Choose the appropriate procedure based on the vehicle's configuration and date of manufacture:
- Vehicles built through May 8, 2017, refer to 1st Generation
- Vehicles built after May 8, 2017, refer to 2nd Generation
1st Generation
Correction Code 11701001
Removal
- Remove the front door trim panel (refer to procedure).

Remove the bluetooth sensor from the closeout panel.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the airbag sensor.

Remove the screws (x10) that secure the closeout panel to the door (torque 1.8 Nm).
- Remove the closeout panel from the vehicle.
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
2nd Generation
Correction Code 11701201
Removal
- Remove the front door trim panel (refer to procedure).

Remove the bluetooth sensor from the closeout panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the airbag sensor.

Release the door handle release cable from the clip on the closeout panel.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the latch actuator.

Release the clips that secure the latch actuator to the closeout panel.

Use a pry tool to release the latch release cable from the actuator.

Push the grommet that surrounds the latch actuator cable through the closeout panel and into the door shell.

Push the grommet that surrounds the door handle release cable through the closeout panel and into the door shell.

Remove and discard the fasteners (x10) that attach the closeout panel to the door (torque 1.8 Nm). Pull the closeout panel away from the door, but do not fully remove it.

Release the tabs and fasteners that attach the cinch motor and airbag sensor wiring to the inside of the closeout panel, and then fully remove the panel from the door and set aside.
NoteUse a rolling cart or other object to support the closeout panel.
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
