3 Way Coolant Valve - Radiator Bypass (Remove and Replace)
Correction Code 18306102
Removal
- Open the LH front door and lower the window.
- Remove the HEPA filter. See Filter - HEPA (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the battery cage assembly. See Cage - Battery - Auxiliary - 12V (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the clips (x2) that attach the coolant hose to the support beam.
- Remove the clip that attaches the cooling fan harness to the support beam.
- Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the cooling fan shroud to the support beam (torque 12 Nm).
- Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the support beam to the body (torque 9 Nm).
- Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the 3-way and 4-way valve to the support beam (torque 5 Nm).
- Remove the support beam from the vehicle.
- Pinch clamps (x5) to the 3-way and 4-way valve coolant hoses.

Remove the coolant hoses (x3)
from the 3-way valve.
NoteUse rags to keep the working area clean.
- Remove the 3-way valve connector.
- Remove the clip that attaches the 3-way valve harness to the 3-way valve.
- Remove the 3-way valve from vehicle.
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
- Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Unlock the vehicle gateway for diagnostic communication. See Gateway Unlock.

Using Toolbox 3:
- Select the Actions tab and search for "Coolant air purge".
- Select the ODIN routine PROC_THC_X_COOLANT-AIR-PURGEvia Toolbox: (link), and then click on the link of the routine.
- Click RUN, and allow the routine to complete.
- Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).

Use the touchscreen to calibrate
the falcon doors.
NoteFalcon door calibration is required after each 12V and first responder loop disconnection.
