Sensor - Airbag - C-Pillar (Remove and Replace)

Note
In the event of an airbag or seat belt tensioner deployment, certain airbag and seat belt components must be replaced, and other components must be inspected for damage. Refer to SRS Inspection and Component Replacement for a specific list of items that must be inspected and replaced.

CAUTION

replaced.
Removal
- Disconnect 12V power. See Disconnect 12V Power.
- Remove the lower C-Pillar trim panel. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove the bolt that attaches the
sensor to the body (torque 8 Nm).
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
If the component was replaced due to an internal failure, use the Toolbox "DTCs" panel to read DTCs, and then clear all related DTCs.
