Motor - Pitch - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 13024002

Removal

  1. Open the LH and RH rear doors.
  2. Use a pick to release the plastic covers that conceal the screws on the bottom of the seat.
  3. Remove the screws that secure the plastic trim to the bottom of the seat frame.
  4. Use a trim tool to release the clips that secure the lower trim panel to the bottom of the seat frame.

    Note
    On some vehicles, the panel remains as a captive part of the seat and cannot be removed.
  5. Starting at the outer rear corner, peel the lower cushion trim (upholstery) away from the bottom of the seat frame. This allows the lower cushion trim and foam to be lifted in the next step.
  6. Lift up the seat bottom cushion so that it touches the backrest
  7. Remove the fasteners that secure the seat base to the seat frame. Remove the seat base.
  8. Disconnect the pitch motor electrical connector.
  9. Release the fasteners that secure the motor to the seat frame (torque 9 Nm).
  10. Remove the pitch motor and drive shaft from the seat.
  11. Remove the drive shaft from the seat motor.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
  1. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  2. Unlock the gateway. See Gateway Unlock.
  3. To disable seat install mode, in Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "Seat-Install" into the search field, click PROC_BCREAR_X_SEAT-INSTALL-MODE-OFFSearch for routine in ToolboxSeat Install Mode Off (Monopost Seats), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  4. In Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "PROC_BCS2L" in the search field, click PROC_BCS2L_R2-L_CALIBRATE-S2L-PITCHSearch for routine in ToolboxCalibrate 2nd Row Seat - Left Pitch, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  5. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
