HV Harness - Charger to Charge Port (China) (Remove and Replace)

Only technicians who have been trained in High Voltage (HV) Awareness and have completed all required certification courses (if applicable) are permitted to perform this procedure. Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and insulating HV gloves with a minimum rating of class 0 (1000V) must be worn any time a high voltage cable is handled. Refer to Tech Note TN-15-92-003, "High Voltage Awareness Care Points" for additional safety information.

Removal

  1. Open the front door and lower the front window.
  2. Open the LH falcon door, hood and liftgate by touching Controls > Doors on the touchscreen.
  3. Fold down the LH 3rd row seat.
  4. Remove the LH welcome plate. See Welcome Plate - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Apply tape to the LH racetrack trim to avoid damage.
  6. Remove the screw that secures the LH lower C-pillar trim pane to the vehicle (torque 2.5 Nm).
  7. Remove the rear load floor.
  8. Remove the trunk floor trim.
  9. Remove the trunk floor carpet. See Carpet - Trunk Floor (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the LH and RH rear trunk side garnishes. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Sill (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the rear wall trim panel. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Rear Wall (Remove and Replace).
  13. Remove the LH mid C-pillar trim panel. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Remove the LH upper C-pillar trim panel. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  15. Remove the LH lower C-pillar trim panel. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  16. Remove the LH trunk side trim. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  17. Remove the mid zone C-pillar bracket. See Bracket - C-Pillar - Mid Zone - LH (Remove and Replace).
  18. Remove the lower zone C-pillar bracket. See Bracket - C-Pillar - Lower Zone - LH (Remove and Replace).
  19. Remove the push clips (x2) that secure the LH minion bracket to the vehicle.
  20. Remove the HVAC charger duct.
  21. Remove the HEPA filter. See Filter - HEPA (Remove and Replace).
  22. Perform Vehicle HV Disablement Procedure. See Vehicle HV Disablement Procedure
  23. Close the small access door.
  24. Remove and discard the bolt that secures the ground strap to the charger (torque 6 Nm).
  25. Remove and discard the clip that secures the harness inlet connector to the charge port.
  26. Remove the AC HV harness inlet connector from the charger.

Installation

  1. Connect the AC HV harness inlet connector to the charger.
  2. Connect the AC HV harness inlet connector to the charge port.
  3. Install the bolt that secures the ground strap to the charger (torque 6 Nm).
  4. Install new screws (x11) that secure the charger access panel (torque 2 Nm).
  5. Use IPA to clean the area around the charger access panel and wait at least 1 minute to dry.
  6. Install a new warranty label.
  7. Install the HVAC charger duct.
  8. Install the push clips (x2) that secure the LH minion bracket to the vehicle.
  9. Install the lower zone C-pillar bracket. See Bracket - C-Pillar - Lower Zone - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the mid zone C-pillar bracket. See Bracket - C-Pillar - Mid Zone - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the LH trunk side trim. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the rear wall trim panel. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Rear Wall (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the trunk floor carpet. See Carpet - Trunk Floor (Remove and Replace).
  14. Install the trunk floor trim.
  15. Install the rear load floor.
  16. Install the LH lower C-pillar trim panel. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  17. Install the screw that secures the LH lower C-pillar trim pane to the vehicle (torque 2.5 Nm).
  18. Remove the tape from the LH racetrack trim.
  19. Install the LH welcome plate. See Welcome Plate - LH (Remove and Replace).
  20. Install the LH upper C-pillar trim panel. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  21. Install the LH mid C-pillar trim panel. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  22. Install the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Sill (Remove and Replace).
  23. Install the LH and RH rear trunk side garnishes. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  24. Unfold the LH 3rd row seat.
  25. Install the rear load floor.
  26. Connect the 12 V battery. See Disconnect 12V Power.
  27. Install the HEPA filter. See Filter - HEPA (Remove and Replace).
  28. Close all the doors and liftgate except the LH front door.
  29. Calibrate the falcon doors from the touchscreen.
  30. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
