Suspension - Rear - Check Torque

Correction Code 31039000

  1. Place the vehicle on a 4-post lift (refer to procedure).

    CAUTION
    Only fully tighten suspension nuts and bolts when the vehicle is on a 4-post lift and the suspension is in the ride height position.
  2. Remove the mid aero shield (refer to procedure).
  3. Check the tightening torque of the following fasteners on both sides of the vehicle: Stabilizer bar to the drop link (torque 70 Nm).
    Use a wire brush or similar to remove existing paint marks before performing a torque check.

    CAUTION
    Always use an orange paint pen to mark bolts after they have been torqued. Unmarked bolts might not be fully torqued, and could result in damage to the suspension.

    CAUTION
    To prevent ball joint damage, always hold the ball joint pin with a wrench while loosening or tightening the lock nut.
  4. Drop link to the lower control arm (torque 70 Nm).

    CAUTION
    To prevent ball joint damage, always hold the ball joint pin with a wrench while loosening or tightening the lock nut.
  5. Toe link to the subframe (torque 80 Nm).
  6. Lower control arm to the subframe (torque 115 Nm).
  7. Integral link to the knuckle (torque 130 Nm).
  8. Integral link to the lower control arm (torque 130 Nm).
  9. Upper link to the subframe (torque 130 Nm).
  10. Toe link to the knuckle (torque 130 Nm).
  11. Lower control arm to the knuckle (torque 200 Nm).
  12. Shock absorber to the knuckle (torque 140 Nm).
  13. Upper link to the knuckle (torque 140 Nm).
  14. Make sure that all torque bolts have new paint marks.
  15. Install the mid aero shield.
  16. Remove the vehicle from the 4-post lift.
