Jackshaft Assembly - Front (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 39303002

Removal

Remove the RH halfshaft (refer to procedure).
Drain the fluid from the front gearbox (refer to procedure).
Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the jackshaft to the drive unit (torque 30 Nm).

Components have been removed in this graphic to aid clarity.
Remove the jackshaft from the drive unit.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Fill the drive unit with the correct amount of proper fluid:
- Use the fluid specified in Fluids.
- Use the amount specified in Fluid Capacities.
CAUTION
Use exactly the specified amount of gearbox fluid. Do not fill to the top of the axle opening.
