Module - Autopilot - ECU - 2nd Generation (RHD) (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 17155222

  • 2024-10-23: Added step on Autopilot ECU disposal.

Removal

  1. Open both front doors and lower both front windows.
  2. Remove the glove box, (refer to procedure).
  3. Power down the vehicle using the touchscreen.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the LH side of the Autopilot ECU.
  5. Remove and discard the nuts (x4) that attach the Autopilot ECU to the cross car beam (torque 5 Nm).
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the RH side of the Autopilot ECU, and then remove the Autopilot ECU from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
  1. Install new nuts (x4) that attach the car computer to the cross car beam.
  2. Reinstall the latest vehicle firmware, or update the firmware if not the latest. See Firmware Reinstall - Touchscreen or Firmware Update.

Disposal

  1. Make sure to properly dispose of the old Autopilot ECU. Follow the instructions in Module - Autopilot - ECU (Dispose) and add correction code 17155007 as a separate activity to the Service Visit.
