Bumper Assembly - Front (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove the active louver (refer to procedure).
  2. Lower the vehicle to access the front bumper.

    CAUTION
    Ensure that the latch straps are disconnected from the tow hook before continuing this procedure.
  3. Remove the bolts (x3) that secure the hood latch actuator (torque 10 Nm). Set the actuator aside.
  4. On each side of the vehicle, remove the bolts (x2) that secure the headlamp carrier to the bumper (torque 7 Nm).
  5. Lower the vehicle to access the underhood area.
  6. On each side of the vehicle, remove the bolt that secures the bumper (torque 9 Nm).
  7. Remove the nuts and washers that secure the bumper to the side rails:
    1. 5 nuts on the LH side of the bumper (torque 60 Nm).
    2. 4 nuts on the RH side of the bumper (torque 60 Nm).
  8. Remove the bumper from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

During reinstallation, ensure that the bumper is straight.
