Correction code 13044012

1. Remove the driver seat from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Install).
2. Lift seat bottom to gain access to seat frame

   

3. Release toe kick straps from both sides of interior seat base
   Note

   2x hook clips

   

4. Disconnect seat back connectors
   Note

   2x connectors, 1x fir tree clip

   

   

5. Release seat cushion upholstery J-hooks
   Note

   3x hook clips

   

6. Disconnect seat bottom connectors
   Note

   2x connectors

   

7. Release seat connector from spring mat
   Note

   1x clip, Slide connector away from seat to release

   

8. Remove puddle lamp
   Note

   1x connector

   

   

9. Remove air bag harness
   Note

   1x harness clip

   

10. Return seat to upright position
11. Remove LH side shield fastener
    Note

    1x screw, PH2, 2 Nm

    

12. Release LH side shield
    Note

    6x clips, 1x connector, Do not forcefully remove side shield as seat switch connector will need to be released, Remove side shield starting at the front of seat

    

    

    

13. Remove RH side shield fastener
    Note

    1x screw, PH2, 2 Nm

    

14. Release RH side shield
    Note

    5x clips, 1x connector clip

    

    

    

    

15. Remove front center panel cover
    Note

    4x clips

    

    

16. Remove LH outer mic
    Note

    Turn LH outer mic counter clockwise and pull up to release

    

17. Remove LH inner mic
    Note

    Turn LH inner mic clockwise and pull up to release

    

18. Remove the outboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the seat cushion frame
    Note

    2x patch bolts, TP47, 43 Nm, Discard after removal

    

19. Remove seat belt buckle from cushion frame
    Note

    1x bolt, 14mm, 40 Nm, 1x connector

    

20. Remove the inboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the cushion frame
    Note

    2x patch bolts, TP47, 43 Nm, Discard after removal

    

21. Remove the seat back frame from the cushion frame
    Note

    Lift up on seat back to release from seat cushion frame

    

22. Release the retaining clips securing seat bottom near seat buckle
    Note

    2x clips

    

23. Release seat cushion upholstery from seat cushion frame
    Note

    1x J-hook, Starting on LH side of seat cushion upholstery pry J-hook out of seat cushion frame and work your way toward RH side to release seat cushion upholstery

    

    

    

    

24. Remove seat cushion upholstery from seat cushion frame
    Note

    Lift up on seat cushion to separate from seat cushion frame

    

25. Install seat cushion to seat cushion frame

    

    

26. Install seat cushion upholstery to seat cushion frame
    Note

    1x J-hook, Starting on RH side of seat cushion upholstery press J-hook into seat cushion frame and work your way toward LH side to secure seat cushion upholstery

    

    

    

    

27. Install the retaining clips securing seat bottom near seat buckle
    Note

    2x clips, Press clips on seat cushion frame to secure seat cushion upholstery

    

28. Install seat back frame to cushion frame
    Note

    Position seat back frame to seat cushion frame

    

29. Install the inboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the cushion frame
    Note

    2x patch bolts, TP45, 43 Nm, Install new patch bolts

    

30. Install the outboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the cushion frame
    Note

    2x patch bolts, TP45, 43 Nm, Install new patch bolts

    

31. Install the seat belt buckle onto the cushion frame
    Note

    1x bolt, 14mm, 40 Nm, 1x connector

    

32. Install LH outer mic
    Note

    Position LH outer mic to seat back frame and rotate clockwise while pressing down to install

    

33. Install LH inner mic
    Note

    Position LH inner mic to seat back frame and rotate counter clockwise while pressing down to install

    

34. Install front center panel cover
    Note

    4x clips

    

    

35. Install RH side shield
    Note

    5x clips, 1x connector clip

    

    

    

36. Install RH side shield fastener
    Note

    1x screw, PH2, 2 Nm

    

37. Install LH side shield
    Note

    6x clips, 1x connector

    

    

    

    

38. Install LH side shield fastener
    Note

    1x screw, PH2, 2 Nm

    

39. Place the front seat in a position to gain access to the bottom of the seat
    Note

    Protect seat cushion from damage

    

40. Install seat connector to spring mat
    Note

    1x clip, Slide connector onto spring mat

    

41. Connect seat bottom connectors
    Note

    2x connectors

    

42. Install seat cushion upholstery J-hooks
    Note

    3x hook clips

    

43. Install Puddle lamp
    Note

    1x connector

    

    

44. Install air bag jumper harness
    Note

    1x harness clip

    

45. Install seat back connectors
    Note

    2x connectors, 1x fir tree clip

    

    

46. Secure the toe kick straps from both sides of the interior seat base
    Note

    2x hook clips

    

47. Return seat to upright position
48. Install the driver seat into the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Install).
49. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
50. Select ‘Actions/Autodiag’ tab and search for ‘Service_Redeploy’
51. Select ‘UPDATE_CAN-REDEPLOYSearch for routine in ToolboxService CAN Redeployhv / Drive Inverter DIRE1L Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Drive Inverter DIRE1R Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Drive Inverter DIRE2 Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Front Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Left Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Right Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Front Drive Unit Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Drive Unit Replacement - CAN Redeploy’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete
    Note

    Select ‘X’ at top right of window to close once complete
52. Select proper garage type for vehicle
    Note

    prod, eng, or mfg, Redeploy should start even though Error may be displayed
53. Close redeploy window
    Note

    Select X at top right corner of window
54. Select the clock on the center display, then select install now to start firmware update
    Note

    Tap center display next to software update window until clock runs down to 0. After displayed installation time, Check the center display and ensure the firmware package was successfully installed
55. Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
56. Unlock the vehicle gateway for diagnostic communication. See Gateway Unlock.
57. To disable seat install mode, in Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "Seat-Install" into the search field, click PROC_BCREAR_X_SEAT-INSTALL-MODE-OFFSearch for routine in ToolboxSeat Install Mode Off (Monopost Seats), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
58. To calibrate the driver seat, in Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "PROC_MSMD" into the search field, click PROC_MSMD_VCSEATD-FRONT-DRV_CALIBRATE-MEMORY-SEATSearch for routine in ToolboxCalibrates the Driver Seat on Legacy SXLow Voltage / Seats - Calibrate Driver Seat, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
59. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
60. Close hood
    Note

    Press firmly in green highlighted areas (see image), Damage may result from pressure elsewhere on hood
61. Raise both LH side windows
62. Close both doors on the LH side
