  1. Remove the driver seat from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Install).
  2. Lift seat bottom to gain access to seat frame
  3. Release toe kick straps from both sides of interior seat base

  4. Disconnect seat back connectors

  5. Release seat cushion upholstery J-hooks

  6. Disconnect seat bottom connectors

  7. Release seat connector from spring mat

  8. Remove puddle lamp

  11. Remove LH side shield fastener

  17. Remove LH inner mic

  18. Remove the outboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the seat cushion frame

  19. Remove seat belt buckle from cushion frame

  20. Remove the inboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the cushion frame

  21. Remove the seat back frame from the cushion frame

    1x J-hook, Starting on LH side of seat cushion upholstery pry J-hook out of seat cushion frame and work your way toward RH side to release seat cushion upholstery
  24. Remove seat cushion upholstery from seat cushion frame

    Lift up on seat cushion to separate from seat cushion frame
  25. Install seat cushion to seat cushion frame
  26. Install seat cushion upholstery to seat cushion frame

    1x J-hook, Starting on RH side of seat cushion upholstery press J-hook into seat cushion frame and work your way toward LH side to secure seat cushion upholstery
  27. Install the retaining clips securing seat bottom near seat buckle

  28. Install seat back frame to cushion frame

  34. Install front center panel cover

  40. Install seat connector to spring mat

  41. Connect seat bottom connectors

  42. Install seat cushion upholstery J-hooks

  43. Install Puddle lamp

  46. Secure the toe kick straps from both sides of the interior seat base

  47. Return seat to upright position
  48. Install the driver seat into the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Install).
  49. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  50. Select ‘Actions/Autodiag’ tab and search for ‘Service_Redeploy’
  51. Select ‘UPDATE_CAN-REDEPLOYSearch for routine in Toolboxhv / Drive Inverter DIRE1L Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Drive Inverter DIRE1R Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Drive Inverter DIRE2 Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Front Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Left Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Right Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Front Drive Unit Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Drive Unit Replacement - CAN Redeploy’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete

  54. Select the clock on the center display, then select install now to start firmware update

    Tap center display next to software update window until clock runs down to 0. After displayed installation time, Check the center display and ensure the firmware package was successfully installed
  55. Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  56. Unlock the vehicle gateway for diagnostic communication. See Gateway Unlock.
  57. To disable seat install mode, in Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "Seat-Install" into the search field, click PROC_BCREAR_X_SEAT-INSTALL-MODE-OFFSearch for routine in Toolbox, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  58. To calibrate the driver seat, in Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "PROC_MSMD" into the search field, click PROC_MSMD_VCSEATD-FRONT-DRV_CALIBRATE-MEMORY-SEATSearch for routine in ToolboxLow Voltage / Seats - Calibrate Driver Seat, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  59. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
  60. Close hood

  61. Raise both LH side windows
  62. Close both doors on the LH side
