Cover - Back Rest - Driver's Seat (Remove & Replace)

  • 2026-08-17: Revised procedure.

Remove

  1. Open the LH front and LH rear doors.
  2. Move the LH front seat forward and upwards.
    Note
    Adjust the seat back to avoid contact with headliner if necessary.
  3. Release the hook clips (x2) that attach the toe kick straps to the interior seat base.
  4. Loosen the clips (x12) that attach the seat back shell to the seat back frame, and then remove the seat back shell from the seat.
    Note
    Start at the top of the seat back, using a plastic trim tool.
  5. Remove and discard any remaining clips from the LH seat frame.

Install

  1. Fasten the clips (x12) that attach the seat back shell base assembly to the seat back frame.
    Note
    Replace any broken or missing clips.
  2. Secure the toe kick straps (x2) to both sides of the interior seat base.
  3. Move the LH front seat to its original position.
  4. Close the LH front and LH rear doors.
