Note
In the event of an airbag or seat belt tensioner deployment, certain airbag and seat belt components must be replaced, and other components must be inspected for damage. Refer to SRS Inspection and Component Replacement for a specific list of items that must be inspected and replaced.

CAUTION

Removal

  1. Remove the LH 2nd row bench seat and the cushion. See Trim - Cushion - 2nd Row - LH (Bench Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect the LH buckle harness connector, and then release the edge clip that attaches the harness to the seat.
  3. Remove the patch bolt (Torque 45 Nm) that attaches the seat buckle to the seat, and then remove the seat buckle.
    Note
    Discard the bolt after removal.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

If the component was replaced due to an internal failure, use the Toolbox "DTCs" panel to read DTCs, and then clear all related DTCs.
CAUTION
Replace any broken clips.
