Park Brake Caliper - Release - EPB - LH

Correction Code 33051008

Release

  1. Remove the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  2. Use a clip prytool to disconnect the LH EPB caliper harness connector.
  3. Remove the bolts (x3) that attaches the EPB motor to the LH rear parking brake caliper.
  4. Remove the EPB motor from the vehicle.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • T25 Socket
    • 2 in extension
  5. Use a 14mm combination wrench to manually turn the brake piston clockwise to disengage the LH rear EPB from the brake rotor assembly.
  6. Manually release the LH rear parking brake caliper from the brake rotor assembly.

Installation

  1. Install the EPB motor to the vehicle.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    • 2 in extension
    • Electronic Torque Wrench
  2. Install the bolts (x3) that attaches the EPB motor to the LH rear parking brake caliper.
  3. Connect the LH EPB caliper harness connector.
  4. Install the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
