Buckle Assembly - 2nd Row - Center (With 2nd Row Bench Seats) (Remove and Replace)

Note

In the event of an airbag or seat belt tensioner deployment, certain airbag and seat belt components must be replaced, and other components must be inspected for damage. Refer to SRS Inspection and Component Replacement for a specific list of items that must be inspected and replaced.

Removal

Remove the 2nd row LH bench seat Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (With 2nd Row Bench Seats) (Remove and Install).
Disconnect the center buckle harness connector, and then release the edge clip that attaches the harness to the seat.
Remove and discard the bolt (torque 45 Nm) that attaches the center seat belt buckle to the seat frame.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

If the component was replaced due to an internal failure:

Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway Unlock.
In Toolbox 3, click Dashboards > Service Tools > DTCs, and then select SDM or RCM depending on the vehicle Restraint Control Type.
Click Read DTCs to display the DTCs.
Power cycle the vehicle.
Click Clear DTCs to clear the DTCs.
Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle.

Calibrate the falcon doors from the touchpanel.
