Bracket - Microswitch - Easy Entry - 2nd Row - LH (With 2nd Row Bench Seats) (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 13026302

Removal

  1. Remove the LH 2nd row seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (With 2nd Row Bench Seats) (Remove and Install).
  2. Unfold the seat assembly.
  3. Release the rear toe kick trim by releasing the outer J-clips (x2) and then the inner J-clips (x4).
  4. Disconnect the center seat belt electrical connector, and then release the harness edge clip from the seat assembly.
  5. Use a T50 to remove and discard the patchbolt that attaches the center seat belt to the seat assembly (torque 45 Nm). Remove the seat belt from the seat.
  6. Use a plastic trim tool to release the seat assembly recliner handle.
    Tip: Insert the trim tool where the handle pivots.
  7. Remove the outer recliner cover:
    1. Use a 10 mm socket to remove the bolt that attaches the rear of the cover to the seat assemly (6 Nm).
    2. Release the push clip that attaches the front of the cover to the seat assembly.
    3. Release the remaining clips (x4) that attach the cover to the seat assembly. Remove the cover from the seat assembly.
  8. Use a T50 to remove and discard the patchbolt that attaches the LH outer seat belt to the seat assembly (torque 45 Nm).
  9. Release the remaining J-clips (x11) that attach the seat trim to the underside of the seat assembly.
  10. Disconnect the seat cushion electrical connectors (x4; 2 gray, 2 black). Release the black connectors from the seat frame.
  11. Remove the lower seat cushion from the seat assembly.

    CAUTION
    Take care to avoid damaging the electrical connectors and J-clips.
  12. Fold the seat fully down.
  13. Unzip the seat back upholstery on both ends of the seat.

    Note
    The zippers are hidden underneath the upholstery.
    Tip: Consider using a small pick to carefully move the zipper.
  14. Release the J-hook attaching the seat back upholstery to the seat, and then lift up the seat upholstery.
  15. Use a clip prytool to release the clips (x13) that attach the seat back board, and then remove the back board from the seat.
  16. Unfold the seat assembly.
  17. Use a 10 mm socke to remove the bolt that attaches the torsion spring bearing cap (0.5 Nm)
  18. On both sides of the seat, release the lower outboard trim from the seat assembly.
  19. Carefully release the elastic straps (x2) from the RH hinge cover.
  20. Release the harness clip and push clip that attach the RH A-cover to the seat assembly.
  21. Release the clips (x2) and tabs (x4) that attach the RH outer hinge cover to the seat assembly. Remove the RH outer hinge cover from the seat assembly.

    Note
    Pull the hinge cover awat from seat to release clips, and then release the tabs working from the bottom up. Lift upwards to release the top edge from the seat frame.
  22. Release the push clip that attaches the RH inner B-cover. Remove the RH inner B-cover from the seat assembly.
  23. Disconnect the easy entry microswitch electrical connector.
  24. Use a T20 socket to remove the screw that attaches the easy entry microswitch bracket to the seat frame (torque 3.5 Nm).
  25. Release the clip that attaches the easy entry microswitch bracket to the recliner sensor bracket.
  26. Carefully press the easy entry microswitch retaining clip to release the easy entry microswitch from the easy entry microswitch bracket.
  27. Remove the easy entry microswitch from the bracket.

Note
Installation is the reverse of removal, with the following exceptions:
  • Replace all patchbolts.
