Open LH front door
-
Open both falcon doors
NoteVia center display > Controls > Falcon door icons

Open the trunk of the vehicle
- Run ODIN routine

Move LH 2nd row Monopost seat fully
forward using easy entry mode

Remove LH welcome plate
Note8x clips

Remove front screw securing LH
C-pillar lower
Note1x screw, T25, 2.5 Nm
-
Remove LH lower C-pillar trim
panel
Note10x clips, Release clips along racetrack trim and then pull panel towards front of vehicle to release remaining clips
-
Fold down LH 3rd row seat
NotePress button located on LH 3rd row seat back assembly near headrest, fold seat back down towards front of vehicle into a flat position

Remove rear load floor

Remove LH trunk sill side trim

Remove RH trunk sill side trim

Remove trunk sill trim
Note4x clips, 2x patch bolts, T25, 2.5 Nm, Discard patch bolts after removal

Remove trunk board

Remove trunk floor carpet

Remove rear load floor support
Note4x push clips, 2x clips

Remove LH mid C-pillar trim
Note2x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 4x clips
-
Remove LH upper C-pillar
Note3x screws, T20, 3 Nm, 1x bolt, T25, 3 Nm

Remove 3rd row seat LH side

Note3x tabs, Release bottom section first, then pivot up and release from side of seat

Remove calamari from LH side trunk
trim
Note6x tabs

Remove LH trunk side trim
Note3x clips, Release rear of panel and feed trunk tie down through, then release upper clips and disconnect 12V outlet, Finally lift panel up to remove

Remove LH Parcel Shelf Support
Note1x nut, 8mm, 1.25 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 2.5 Nm, 3x push clips, 1x edge clip, Remove hardware then release edge clip securing charge port release cable
-
Remove LH rear minion bracket
Note2x push clips
-
Remove charger duct
NoteRelease from plastic ducts at top and bottom
-
Fold both 3rd row seats down
NotePress button located on both 3rd row seat back assembly near headrest, fold seat back down towards front of vehicle into a flat position
-
Remove underhood aprons
Note4x aprons, 11x clips each, 3x datums First remove rear apron, Then remove LH and RH aprons, Last remove front apron
-
Remove frunk carpet
Note2x connectors, Release the carpet from underneath the seal
-
Remove frunk assembly
Note10x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, 10x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm
-
Remove HEPA filter housing
NoteLift up from bottom and pull out, *Note: There may or may not be a filter in housing based on vehicle configuration
-
Power off vehicle via UI
NoteVia center display > Controls > Safety > Power Off
-
Disconnect first responder loop
Note1x connector, push to release
-
Disconnect 12V battery negative
terminal
Note1x nut, 10mm, 5 Nm
-
Raise vehicle fully, lower lift onto
locks
NoteSet vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to side if both locks are not engaged

Remove RH shear plate
Note3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x push clips, 1x nyloc nut, 15mm, 35 Nm, Discard nylon nut after removal

Remove LH shear plate
Note3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x push clips, 1x nyloc nut, 15mm, 35 Nm, Discard nylon nut after removal

Remove rear aero shield
Note20x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x push clips
-
Remove rear diffuser
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 3 Nm, 2x bolts, T30, 3 Nm, 4x push clips, 13x tabs, Remove hardware, then pull diffuser rearwards to release tabs
-
Place coolant catcher underneath
onboard charger
-
Install coolant hose clamp onto
coolant outlet hose
-
Remove coolant hose from charger,
allow coolant to drain, and plug charger opening
NoteProtect 12V logic connector and harness from potential coolant ingress
-
Disconnect 12V logic connector from
charger

Remove nuts securing charger to
underbody
Note2x nuts, 13mm, 9 Nm
-
Remove coolant drain container from
underneath vehicle
-
Lower vehicle and set lift onto
locks
NoteRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
-
Remove warranty label from charger
cover panel if present
NoteA new replacement label will not be installed
-
Remove all items from pockets and
ensure not wearing metal items
NoteThis includes: rings, watches, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, piercings, phones, badges, metal belt buckles, airpods and headphones

Inspect HV insulating gloves
NoteCheck gloves for damage prior to use, Refer to service document TN-15-92-003, for information on inspecting HV gloves. https://service.tesla.com/en-US/documents

Put on HV insulating gloves and
leather over gloves
NoteUse HV cut resistant insulated gloves or HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves, Perform a visual inspection of HV insulating gloves for any damage before putting on, Retest for leaks immediately following any incidents that can reasonably be suspected as causing damage to the HV insulating gloves, HV Insulating gloves must be worn any time a Hioki Tester or Hi-Pot Tester is used, Refer to service document TN-15-92-003 for PPE requirements depending on vehicle configurationhttps://service.tesla.com/en-US/documents

Remove charger access panel
Note11x patch bolts, T20, 2 Nm, Discard after removal, Make sure to wear proper PPE

Open charger small access door

Verify no high voltage
NoteMeasure B+ to B-, B+ to ground, and B- to ground, Make sure to wear proper PPE, Verify you are using a proper ground and not a coated surface, If voltage is greater than 10V, Pack contactors are not open or welded, Stop work escalate a toolbox session for assistance

HV cables to charger
Note2x patch bolts, T30, 6 Nm, Discard after removal

Release tabs and open large access
door

Remove nuts securing charge port

Close small access door

Use a dummy plug or tape to cover the
opening for the charger access panel

Release tabs and remove rear pair of
HV cables from charger
Note4x tabs, Release tabs and pull cables up and out of charger, Cables may have to be turned slightly to release from charger

cables were installed

Install coolant hose clamp pliers onto
coolant inlet hose

Disconnect hose from top of
charger
Note1x hose clamp, Place absorbent material around hose to catch any spilled coolant

Remove bolts securing the charger
upper mounting brackets to the body
Note2x patch bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm, Discard after removal

Lift charger up and remove fasteners
securing HV cables from rapid splitter to bottom of charger

Remove rapid splitter HV cables from
charger
Note2x tabs, Release tabs then pull cables out

Remove charger from vehicle
NoteRecommend assistance, use shop towel to clean any coolant spill

Foldback LH wheelhouse absorber
NoteLift up LH wheelhouse absorber to gain access to air extractor
-
Remove LH air extractor shroud
Note2x clips

Release LH air extractor clips
Note4x clips

Remove clip and bolts securing RH rear
fender garnish and arch liner
Note2x push clips, 2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm
-
Partially release LH rear fender
garnish from rear fascia
Note3x clips, 7 tabs

Remove screw securing LH rear fascia
to quarter panel
Note1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm

Partly remove LH rear fascia from
quarter panel

Pull back LH rear fascia to gain
access
NoteCarefully pull back LH rear fascia frim quarter to gain access to LH air extractor

Remove LH air extractor
NotePull air extractor out and away from body

Verify operation of vehicles charging
system.
Install

Install LH air extractor
Note2x clips, Press firmly into body to secure clips

Install LH rear fascia to vehicle

Install screw securing LH rear fascia
to quarter panel
Note1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm

Install LH rear fender garnish onto
rear fascia
Note3x clips, 7 tabs

Install clip securing LH rear fender
garnish and arch liner
Note4x push clips, 2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

Install LH air extractor shroud
Note2x clips, align clips and push shroud in to secure
-
Resecure LH wheelhouse absorber
-
Place charger into vehicle so HV
cables can be installed
-
Release tabs and open small access
door

Install rapid splitter HV cables onto
charger
Note2x tabs, Make sure to insert cables into correct cavity then secure tabs, Shorter positive cable closest to access panel, Longer negative cable furthest from access panel

Install fasteners securing rapid
splitter cables to charger
Note2x patch bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

Install charger onto upper
mountingbrackets and torque bolts
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm

Install ground strap to charger
Note1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm

Install ground strap to D-pillar
Note1x bolt, 10mm, 9 Nm

Remove PTC dummy plug

Secure PTC harness barrel clips to
D-pillar and charger bolt studs

Connect rear PTC heater

Release tabs and open small access

Install mid aero shield
Note20x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x push clips

Install RH shear plate
Note3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x push clips, Install new nyloc nut, 15mm, 35 Nm

Install LH shear plate
Note3x screws, T25, 6 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x push clips, Install new nyloc nut, 15mm, 35 Nm

Torque mid aero shield bolts
Note20x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm
-
Lower vehicle
NoteRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height

Connect First Responder Loop and 12V

Remove coolant reservoir cap

Inspect coolant level and top off as
necessary
NoteEnsure coolant is filled using G-48 coolant

Notevia Panels > Thermal > Coolant Air Purge, Select blue ''Play'' button, Per current FRT (18300000) 0.15 hrs, Monitor and top off fluid as required

Reinstall LH rear charger duct

Install LH Parcel Shelf Support
Note1x nut, 8mm, 1.25 Nm, 1x bolt, 10mm, 2.5 Nm, 3x push clips, 1x edge clip, Secure edge clip for charge port release cable, then position and install hardware

Install LH trunk side trim
Note3x clips, Slide panel down into position, then connect 12V outlet, Secure clips at top of panel, Position rear edge of panel and feed trunk tie down through, Fully seat carpet surrounding trunk nub

Install Calamari assembly to LH trunk

Note6x tabs, Seat outboard tabs first, then front and back, then inboard for easiest installation

Install 3rd row seat LH side

Install rear load floor

Fold LH 3rd row seat up
NotePress button located on LH 3rd row seat back assembly near headrest, lift seat back into an upright position

Close liftgate

Install LH lower C-pillar
Note10x clips, Secure inner clips and then clips along racetrack trim

Install bolt securing front of LH
C-pillar lower
Note1x patch bolt, T25, 2.5 Nm

Install LH welcome plate

Move LH and RH 2nd row seat from easy
entry position to regular upright seating position
NoteSlide seat track backwards by pushing towards rear of vehicle, Fold upper seat backwards until locked in an upright position

Calibrate falcon doors via UI
NoteVia Controls > Calibrate, Required after 12V and FRL disconnect

Select Finish once cooling system air
purge has completed
NoteTop off coolant and reinstall coolant reservoir cap

Install coolant reservoir cap

Install HEPA filter housing
NoteAlign opening on back of housing to HEPA filter outlet duct opening, *Note: There may or may not be a filter in housing based on vehicle configuration

Install frunk assembly
Note10x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, 10x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm, Hand start all bolts first then tighten with tools

Install frunk carpet
Note2x connectors, Make sure that the carpet is attached beneath the seal
-
Install under hood aprons
Note4x aprons, 11x clips each, 3x datums First remove rear apron, Then remove LH and RH aprons, Last remove front apron
-
Close hood
- close the trunk of the vehicle.

Close both falcon doors

Disconnect Toolbox from vehicle and
install cubby
Note1x connector, 2x clips, Ensure diagnostic cables are tucked into appropriate position then engage cubby

Install MCU cubby tray
Note2x clips, Ensure diagnostic cables are tucked into the appropriate position
