TXV Valve - Evaporator - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Removal

Remove the rear HVAC assembly See HVAC Assembly - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
Disconnect the TXV valve electrical connector.
Remove the foam gasket from the bottom of the HVAC assembly.
Release the clips (x2) that attach the rear TXV electrical harness to the side of the rear HVAC assembly.
Remove the screws (x2) that secure the TXV valve to the HVAC assembly (torque 6 Nm).
Release the TXV valve from the rear HVAC assembly.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Clean the affected areas before installation.
Install new rear TXV to rear HVAC assembly o-rings (x2).
Install a new foam gasket on the bottom of the rear HVAC assembly.
Recharge the refrigerant. See A/C Refrigerant Recovery and Recharge (Remove and Replace).
Perform the Thermal System Test. See Cooling System - Thermal Test.
